Department of Vendée invites you to take part in a storytelling workshop at the Abbey of Nieul-sur-l’Autise: “Stories of eggs”

Eating, in the Middle Ages, from the table of the peasant to that of the lord, passing by that of the monks, meant maintaining good health according to the season and religious rules.

Why are eggs offered at Easter? What medieval recipes and stories can you discover about this delicious food? Who still knows the battle of Carnival against Lent? One hell of a story… of eggs!
