JJ , that sounds fine . Is it going to be plasterboarded over or is that the final finish ? if so maybe screwing it up could be better, or even wizzing in a few now if not too late as this stops it flexing about with the draft and eventually loosening the nails . they need to be at about 25 cm intervals and laid out around the edge and across the sheets in a noughts and crosses grid pattern , if you follow. Of course I apologise if you are an old hand and did not need me to tell you all that . And never tell the girlies that the actual masterplan is that we just let them have input when it fits what we want to do anyway . Send her out shopping for a while , she will soon calm down LOL.malcolm e

Yet again many thanks. 'Tis to be the final finish - it's damn near finished me off. At my time of life, with my dodgy knees, the last thing I need is to be grovelling about under filthy eaves, trying to bang nails in upward at the same time coping with face fulls of tumbling grot. Where's the sodding underfelt when you need it? Unfortunately you're right, screws will be needed, else all me hard work will be in vain when the bloody lot comes tumbling down around me ears.
No need to apologise, as I need all the help I can get. I'm kinda an old, but useless hand who will listen to any expert advice.
Re the "masterplan" bit, sorta thought maybe girlies have "mistressplans". Send her out shopping!!!!! You cannot be serious.

Cheers,

JJ Cale.
