Les Devi. Are they a blessing?

Postby bluehound on Sun May 18, 2008 8:18 am

Is the French "art" of sending a devi for every repair job a boon or a hinderence?....The Artisan comes out, all "bright eyed and bushy tailed" to inspect the job to be done.....Tells you he's going to do this and that.....Has a drink with you....Then departs leaving you in high anticipation of the arrival of the "devi".....You then wait, eager for the arrival.....Like an expected parent....Nothing happens.....After a month.... You resign yourself that it was all for nothing........When all you wanted was a price there and then so one could barter a cash price....but hey.....This is France after all....Where being different is an art form.......The Buggers........;-)

If it's running continuosly, its short of gas.......If it's not cutting in could either be the motor or thermostat....Depending on it's age deepens whether to repair or replace....."Thibaud" at Lucon 0251560578 are good and will supply you with a temp freezer.

BH - how impolite of you not to respond to my posting! "BH - there's an option missing from the survey...........couldn't give a *$%*! "

It is people like you who give this forum a bad name! Buck up or I'll request that you are punished (e.g. lack of forum access for 24 hours). Then others will be able to get a word in edgeways (if they are so inclined) ;)

I always thought it was 'devis' (?) - or is that being too focused on the detail - I love getting in the devis and sifting through them...
